What are "Species at Risk"?
More than 300 species considered to be at risk are listed under the Species at Risk Act (SARA) and are subject to special considerations when operating seismic, drilling or pipelining operations in Canada. According to the Species at Risk Act, failure to observe the required procedures may result in severe fines and / or jail time for the resource company personnel in charge of the operation. To protect our clients, RPS Boyd PetroSearch maintains a current database of all SARA requirements and uses this information in the conduct of all operations.
