Roger Edgecombe, P. Geoph, Senior Geophysicist

Roger graduated from Dalhousie University in 1994 with a B.Sc. in Geology and from McMaster University in 1999 with a M.Sc. in Geology and Applied Geophysics. During his time at McMaster, Roger collaborated on a geological investigation of the subsurface stratigraphy underlying the McMaster campus as part of an Environmental Assessment for decommissioning the campus nuclear reactor.

In 1997, Roger joined Geophysical Applications (GAPS). During his time at GAPS, Roger acted as Program Manager and Client Liaison. He operated data acquisition crews in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the United States and has been observer/project manager for both refraction and shallow reflection seismic surveys. While at GAPS, Roger gained experience with OYO and ARAM Recording Systems, as well as VISTA and IPS processing software. Roger has an extensive familiarity with other geophysical investigative methods including ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic, and gravity.

Mr. Edgecombe joined Boyd PetroSearch in 2005. Roger is joining the Potash Group at Boyd PetroSearch. His strength in acquisition and program management will be an asset for the recurring seismic programs at the Potash mines.

As well as his oil & gas experience, Roger has field experience in various arctic and sub arctic environments, along with geological experience in the sedimentological sub basins of Nova Scotia.
